Great Scottish Run 6 October 2013

Alistair Imrie

Alistair

I am running the Great Scottish Run which is my first half marathon. I am fairly fit but have problems with my knees and have recently broken my ribs. I am very competitive so would love to do a decent time as well.

I am raising money for Kirsty's Kids which has came to my attention through the carpet cleaning community. I am a member of (TACCA - The Approved Carpet Cleaners Association) who donate to Kirsty's Kids so I wanted to now do my bit.

Alistair raised £75. Awesome. Thank you so much.

22 September 2013 - Nick Cook

My challenge is New Forest Middle Distance Triathlon.

For my last challenge before I get too old to exercise I completed a half Iron Man Triathlon. This consisted of a 1.2 mile swim, followed by a 56 mile bike ride, then a 13.9 mile run. I knew I could do these 3 things separately, but it was a bit of challenge doing them all one after the other.

I'm raised £1,371.25 for Kirsty's Kids.

September 2013bathgate fundraiser

Dear Jan, John and Dougie "KIRSTYSKIDS".

Our Clan has been most busy at our end and Kirsty's Kids has kept us busy as well. We all love the cause and appreciate the opportunities that we are experiencing.

To Sum up I have NOW only just got sorted out with the donations from THE BEN NEVIS Challenge! - Shona Campbell, Clare McNab, Kira Walker, Graham Marshall, their work colleagues and friends at Bathgate Tax Office, Morrisons Livingston and Thistle Care, Edinburgh. £100.00.

Carol Walker, Ward 8 @ St Johns Hospital, work colleagues and Friends. £ 40.00.

Kyle Walker and Work colleagues @ Police Scotland, Edinburgh Area Control Room £ 60.00.

TOTAL= £200.00p

And having just sorted that out the girls, Shona Campbell, Clare McNab and Kira Walker have given me a kick up the bottom by hosting a Kirsty's Kids stall at the Local Bathgate Party In The Park 1 September, where they baked and sold cup cakes - Kirsty's Kids colours, of course. They also held a raffle which went down well. Local businesses donated gifts; books, makeover for two, meals for two , 2 x meal vouchers £20.00, two flower arrangements from local florist shops and WESLO Local housing association donated a Kindle Fire. £270.60 raised.

COMBINED TOTAL Both EVENTS = £470.60

The maidens gala day raised £241.65

CMYK's Ben Nevis Walk Fundraising Page

Fundraiser's:
Roddy Morrison, Paul Hubbard, Scott Barclay, Andy Turner, David Halley, Chris Forrest

A group from CMYK Digital Solutions scaled Ben Nevis on the 8th June 2013 and raised £653 for Kirsty's Kids.

"We did it!  After 7 grueling hours of hard labour (plus 5 for the return) we made the summit of Ben Nevis with the Kirsty's Kids bike.  I think it's fair to say that this was the hardest work most of us have ever attempted but that just makes the achievement all the more rewarding.

The combination of a fantastic team, incredible willpower and the most worthy of causes got us to the top despite some truly daunting opposition!

On behalf of the CMYK team I'd like to thank everyone who has donated to Kirsty's Kids, your contributions have made the hard work (and sore legs) worthwhile!

Roddy, 10th June 2013"

3rd May 2013

The Girls in Ayrshire decided that they would rise to the challenge and organised a charity shop in Maybole on 3rd of May. This event was previously aided massively by the late Mrs Ann Pointer. It is a real tribute to the ladies for getting together and getting stuck in without Ann there to organise.

14 April 2013 - Matt & Charlie 2013 Brighton Marathon

Matt & Charlie competed in the Brighton Marathon and raise money for Kirsty's Kids & Children with Cancer UK. £215 raised.
